Do agnostics get upset about religious people’s deliberately false definition of agnosticism?

Some religious people deliberately falsely define atheism; they say, “Atheists are people who don’t believe in God.” This of course is a deliberately dishonest statement because it carries with it an implication that “God” is real when there is absolutely no evidence to prove this. I’ve seen religious people define agnosticism as, “Agnostics are people who won’t fully commit to God.” This statement has the same deliberate dishonesty that exists in so much of what religious people say, but do agnostics ever stand up for their beliefs when religious people deliberately misrepresent them in such a way?Do agnostics get upset about religious people’s deliberately false definition of agnosticism?
But atheists ARE people who don't believe in God...

What that means is that we don't believe that god exists; everybody knows that, don't get hung up on the wording.Do agnostics get upset about religious people’s deliberately false definition of agnosticism?
Agnosticism isn't a position on belief, it is a position on knowledge. Agnosticism is a denial of claims to ultimate truth on the existence or non-existence of a god.

Agnostics can be people who don't believe in a god but don't deny the possibility of god existing (agnostic atheists) or people who belief in a god but don't deny the possibility that god might not exist (agnostic theists).

Just because someone is agnostic and cannot rule out the possibility that god does/doesn't exist, doesn't mean that they can't have a personal belief on the matter.
There's no way to win the battle. If an atheist reverses the definition and says he believes in no gods, then the believer will accuse him of ';believing'; in something. And if an agnostic isn't ';non-commital';, he's ';confused about God';. Believers will twist definitions to fit their preconceptions because the alternative is too terrifying to contemplate. I don't worry about it too much. Fighting delusion is an unrewarding task.
But you contradict yourself !! IF there were positive proof there is no God you would bring that forth. So, yes, that is what atheism must mean.

You have misrepresented things.
Your clarity of statement makes bigots hate you.

In general religious people have no consensus in what they believe,
Lol, Desiree... you remind me of this Christy girl on the Vegan %26amp; Vegetarian section that was picking out the faults of vegetarianism %26amp; claiming that Veganism was the only way...
I think I've seen you deliberately misrepresenting agnosticism.

Wanting to be friends now?
Tell me how to stand up to an organized religion vs my doubt?
Who cares what religious people think or say.

Love and blessings Don
