The definition of false pretense..?

Define false pretense in the most easy way you possibly can. My friend is an idiot and doesnt even understand the definition on dictionary.com, so try to break this down a little for her. lol =)'The definition of false pretense..?
Law Encyclopedia: False Pretenses

False representations of material past or present facts, known by the wrongdoer to be false, made with the intent to defraud a victim into passing title in property to the wrongdoer.

Suppose Reba tells Alberto that a synthetic gemstone is a valuable diamond that she will give to Alberto in exchange for Alberto's truck. Alberto thinks this sounds like a good deal and transfers title of his truck to Reba. If Reba knows that the stone is a synthetic gemstone, she is guilty of false pretenses.

Not sure who you are calling a Nerd as though that were funny. I don't know how else to explain it to someone who obviously refuses to understand the concept. It is NOT that flippin hard. Thank you though for now on I know who to scroll past in the future. I currently have two degrees, one in police science and the other a BS in criminal justice. That's police stuff in case you or your friend don't understand you know the folks who drive around in police cars and stuff and like write tickets and stuff ya know like LOL ROFLMAO, Tee Heee. so go find some other nerds to break down simple concepts that if you don't understand it yet, you never will and no, it is not that funny.. False pretense is when you present something or a situation as one way and it is actually another.

For example, I tell you to come over to my house for a friendly barbeque and really I'm just trying to get you here so I can try to convince you to buy my new product I am trying to market.
here's an example---If you buy a home under false pretense, it means you misrepresented your income to the banker
